Welcome to Rider
Horsemanship
Whether you've seen Caroline
Rider in action with her horses at liberty,
freestyle riding, or in bridle and under saddle,
you've witnessed her incredible ability to develop
and nurture the many levels of "emotional connection"
she teaches today between horse and human: the
power and depth of love, compassion, friendship,
loyalty, willing partnership and mutual respect.
Our Mission
Here, at Rider Horsemanship, our mission is
to create an easier, simpler and more natural
approach to being and working with horses. One
that provides each horse with the opportunity
to reach their full potential through freedom
of expression & choice, and each human to reach
theirs through awareness, embodiment and knowledge.
What We Can Do For
You
Our teaching style empowers horse owners with
both personal, and horsemanship, skill sets
that aid in developing the following: confidence,
awareness, understanding of equine behavior
and psychology, basic to advanced horsemanship
and performance, problem-solving skills that
help in identifying and solving challenging
situations.
Caroline's training approach
works with all horses, any level rider and discipline.
Whether Caroline is assisting you with a ground
and/or riding lesson, or a life lesson in horse-human
bonds and emotional connections, Caroline's
enthusiasm, joy and depth of knowledge will
surely enlighten you and empower you with endless
possibilities and opportunities for self-improvement,
personal growth and horsemanship.
What We Can Do For
Your Horse
We work with the horse's nature, in a manner
in which we bring out the best they have to
offer – listening and communicating while working
together.
Our main focus, with each
and every horse we come into contact with, is
the development of "emotional connection." Horse's
are prey animals, making them naturally tuned
into their surroundings (via their senses) for
survival purposes. Through research and study
over the years, we have observed and witnessed
deeper levels of heightened sensory activity
within horses, activity relating to the way
in which they respond to emotionally and mentally
challenged humans & children. We believe it
is because of their heightened sensitivity to
"heart chakras" and their ability to resonate
emotional intelligence.
Horses are also social animals
who thrive on belonging to a social hierarchy,
establishing deep rapport with one another,
companionships and long-lasting friendships.
Understanding our horses need to bond and share
friendship is foremost to establishing incredibly
enriching, fulfilling and trusting partnerships
with our equine friends.
We would also like to mention that there is
a difference between establishing emotional
connection and physical connection as well as
a purpose (and a time) for each when working
with horses. While we begin with approach we
also combine our approach with a series of ground
and riding techniques. This allows us to develop
incredible rapport while schooling and applying
classical dressage patterns.
With approach we are able to allow our horse's
to choose to trust and accept us thus making
training so much easier (through acceptance
of our leadership) and more natural for the
horse. When we make them (too much pressure,
tie downs, etc), we often force the horse to
either tolerate us (often shutting down) or
act out defensively. Through approach, there
isn't any force or dominant action taken, rather
a way of being and doing (understanding your
responsibility to the horse: where you need
to be for them, when (timing) and why you are
needed) that fosters and nurtures true trust,
companionship, devoted loyalty, willing partnership
and acceptance.
This is where Rider Horsemanship and our Tao
of Horsemanship™ training series and courses
can help you. While we teach technical exercises,
to both horse and human, we begin with an approach
to understanding 3 core principles to mastering
total success with horses.
Come
join us as we embark on this incredible horsemanship
journey – together!

A
mindful approach to creating oneness,
partnership & harmony between you
and your horse.
